There are many challenging issues that lie ahead in the state legislature. Jeff has the integrity, ability and commitment that is necessary to be an effective state representative. With your help, Jeff will fight for us in Jefferson City and tackle the issues that need to addressed. Jeff strongly believes that we must live up to our constitutional and moral obligation to provide a quality education for all of our children. Parents, seniors, property owners, business owners and all citizens, have a vested interest in a strong public educational system whether they send their children to a public or a private school or have no children at all. We need strong primary and secondary schools, as well as public universities and technical schools to remain competitive in our global economy. Jeff
led the effort to redevelop the South County Mall without a public subsidy,
worked hard to make the Costco development become a reality and spearheaded
the effort to redevelop the old Debasio Furniture site and other sites
in Lemay and throughout South County. As our state representative Jeff
will fight to bring jobs and economic growth to South County. Jeff will
work to keep the tax burden low and the incentives for investment high.
He will continue to work closely with the local chambers of commerce
to assist them in continuing the good work they have been doing over
the past few years.
Too often politicians have sided with corporate insiders over the workers and retirees. It is time we had someone who won’t look past the corporate fraud and loopholes and fight for our families and retirees. As your State Representative, Jeff will fight everyday to protect the rights of all workers in our community and state, including the right to collectively bargain. He will fight against the current majority’s attempts to decimate all that workers have fought for over the years. The rising cost of healthcare in our state and throughout the country is a national crisis. The costs of health care and health insurance threatens the existence of small business and the financial security of our families. While a federal action is crucial, there is much we can do in our state to make certain that every person has the dignity of receiving quality health care without going bankrupt. Jeff supports efforts to provide all of our citizens with affordable health insurance and will work to find solutions that make sense. Our seniors have given so much to our community; literally building this great nation. Seniors should not be forced into bankruptcy by failed policies that benefit pharmaceutical companies.
